What it does

Transcribes your video word by word, measures the silences and shows you the list of cuts in a table. Once you say yes, it cuts with 0.08 s of breathing room and checks that audio and video still line up. The list is saved as JSON so you can add whooshes later.

  • Claude Code
  • ffmpeg
  • Python 3.9 or newer
  • Whisper (mlx-whisper on Apple Silicon or openai-whisper)

about 30 s per minute of video on Apple Silicon

How to install it

In Claude Code

  1. Download the .skill file. It is a zip with the skill folder inside.
  2. Unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ (or into .claude/skills/ inside your project).
  3. Open Claude Code and ask in your own words. The skill kicks in on its own.

In claude.ai

  1. Go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
  2. Upload the .skill file as you downloaded it.

In ChatGPT it helps you plan; it does not edit.
